Join Klaveness as a Financial Controller – Shape the Future of Shipping

Klaveness is seeking a proactive and engaged Financial Controller to strengthen the Group Finance team at our headquarters in Oslo. As a Financial Controller, you will be part of a small but highly competent professional environment. Group Finance works with group reporting, controlling, treasury, and a wide range of matters within accounting, finance, and tax. You will report to the Head of Group Finance and work closely with colleagues in the finance department, as well as with decision-makers across the business areas. The role is independent, offers a high degree of variety in tasks, and will evolve in line with both the company’s and your own development.

Responsibilities:

• monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including analysis, forecasting, and control of actuals
• preparation of financial information, modelling, and analyses to support decision-making as needed
• actively contribute to improving and streamlining the finance function, with a particular focus on automation, development of dashboards, and analytical tools
• independent responsibility for statutory and group accounts within your business areas, including:
  • review and control of deliverables from our accounting department in Manila
  • preparation of annual accounts and tax
  • collaboration with external auditors
• tasks related to liquidity management, banking, and treasury

Qualifications:

• higher education in finance or economics, preferably at master’s level
• minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably from audit and/or a similar role within controlling or analysis
• strong accounting competence (primarily NGAAP)
• strong quantitative skills with advanced Excel knowledge; experience with Power BI / Power Query is an advantage
• strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• fluent in Norwegian
