Are you our new CFO?

An opportunity to take the financial helm at a well-established brand of business news publications, and leading business daily in Norway.

As an experienced CFO you will be a key contributor to the strategic planning, and development of DN Media Group. Your focus will be around securing the financial growth of the Group and being a strategic advisor to the CEO and group management team, as well as the Board of Directors.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial planning and analysis, drive cost control, accounting, budgeting, treasury, and risk management. 

Working closely with the other members of group management is a key prerequisite.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Financial analysis, profitability analyses and proactive “profitability thinking”
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Group consolidation and reporting (monthly management reports, quarterly and annual external reports)
• Cash management and payment functions
• Management of tax issues including transfer pricing
• Management of the DN Media Group pension plan
• Accounting services for all DN Media Group entities as well as NHST Holding and NHST Marketing Technologies.
• Maintenance of corporate structures including  board secretary functions for all legal entities in the group.
• Data protection officer role

The resources in the CFO department currently consist of 

• Accounting including salary management and group accounting  8 FTEs
• Controlling/finance manager positions 3 FTEs
• DPO 1 FTE

The CFO will also be involved with and at an agreed time take over responsibility for:

• Financing and bank relations for the NHST Holding group
• Board secretary functions for NHST Holding AS

He/she will further be involved in business development activities and M&A work, depending on  capacity, interests and company requirements.

Qualifications:

• University level education with strong professional background in accounting, cost control controlling and overall financial management
• Good understanding of financing processes and financing products
• Good understanding of the capital markets
• Strong business sense
• Experience from working in a non-Norwegian environment
