Accounting Manager to ambitious software company

Sanity.io is seeking a versatile and hands-on Accounting Manager who will be working for Sanity AS, a Norwegian subsidiary of a US parent company, but also the place where it all started. As our new Accounting Manager, you will manage the entire Norwegian accounting books, processes and procedures in compliance with Norwegian and US GAAP.

The role will partner with a highly skilled, inspiring and supportive global accounting team and reports to leader based in the US. Our office in Oslo is centrally located at Grunerløkka.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

• Be responsible for the entire Sanity Norway accounts A-Z
• Manage and run the month-end close process
• Ensure accurate accounts and reporting through tasks such as journal entries, accounting (AR/AP), payroll, reconciliations and controlling
• Prepare for and facilitate audits and be the main point of contact for Norwegian auditors and government authorities
• Implement robust internal controls in collaboration with our US accounting team
• Contribution to process and system optimization
• Communication and collaboration with all levels in the organization
• Other ad hoc tasks, projects and reporting requirements

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, audit or equivalent
• Minimum 4-5 years’ of experience in accounting, ideally with background from accounting/audit firms or similar role within the software/tech industry
• Experience from or interest in international scale-ups is a plus
• Strong understanding of Norwegian GAAP
• Familiar with Norwegian VAT and tax compliance
• Experience using Tripletex ERP and/or Netsuite ERP is a plus
• Fluent written and spoken in both English and Norwegian
