Senior Accountant to family-owned Norwegian technology company

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Norway. As a Senior Accountant at DEFA, you will be responsible for managing accounting, payroll and financial matters for our Norwegian entities.

Location: Slependveien 108, Billingstad, Asker
Reports to: Finance Manager
Direct Reports: None

Main responsibilities and tasks:

• Accounting: Prepare monthly and annual accounts for our Norwegian companies and handle tax returns.
• Payroll administration: Payroll A-Z, including administration of salary and time systems, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate reporting to authorities.
• Internal audits: Participate in internal audits across Group companies to ensure compliance and best practices.
• External audit: Act as point of contact with external auditors.
• System management: Serve as a super user for Finance systems, including Microsoft Dynamics AX, Compello, and QlikSense.
• Project Contribution: Contribute to the conversion to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other strategic projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Relevant education in accounting or equivalent. Longer experience can compensate for lack of education.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting
• Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting and experience with annual accounts, tax return and VAT. Experience with payroll is an advantage.
• Systems:  Experience with MS Dynamics AX, Compello, or QlikSense is an advantage.
• Language: Fluent in Norwegian and good in English, both verbal and written.
