Summa Equity is looking for a Senior Accountant
As a Senior Accountant at Summa Equity, you will play a crucial role within Finance by maintaining the financial records, preparing accurate financial reports, and managing all aspects of payroll in collaboration with our Global Payroll provider. You will report to the CFO in Stockholm, and will collaborate closely with Finance team members, as well as other teams such as HR and legal.

The role
To succeed in this role, you must thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We're looking for a colleague who is independent, proactive, and have a keen interest in systems, which is highly relevant to this position. You should have strong communication skills, along with the ability to meet deadlines through effective time management and prioritization.  In addition to this you should be self-driven and able to work independently as the wider Finance team is based in Stockholm

The role is a permanent position with Summa, based in our Oslo office.

Areas of responsibilities include:

• Oversee all financial transactions for the company, including accounts payable/receivable, expense reporting, general ledger entries, and reconciliations
• External financial reporting to Brønnøysundregistrene, Norwegian Tax Agency (Skatteetaten), i.e
• Overseeing the monthly payroll procedures in cooperation with our Global Payroll provider
• Collaborate with external software providers
• Assist external auditors with audit preparations
• Design and enforce robust internal controls to enhance our financial processes
• Participate in the implementation of new systems to modernize and digitize our financial operations

Who are we looking for? 
We are looking for a candidate that has:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance or audit
• At least 3 years of relevant experience from accounting/auditing or similar roles
• Highly skilled in Norwegian rules and regulations, especially related to VAT, payroll and travel
• Prior experience with Norwegian payroll processing
• Experience from working in a Private Equity firm or in a fund environment is an advantage, not a requirement
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Good command of written and oral English
• Fluent in Norwegian (written and oral)
