What can the Group Controller role offer you?
As a Group Controller in Visma, you will be part of Europe's leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company. This offers a unique insight into how SaaS businesses are managed, what financial and commercial drivers are important. It also gives insights into how a group with 180+ business units across countries in Nordics, Continental Europe and Latin America consolidate financial numbers. We make business decisions based on facts rather than feelings, and as our new Group Controller you will make sure that we always have the correct numbers and necessary facts available.
The Group Controller position is part of the wider group finance team, overseeing all finance functions in Visma. What does a Group Controller do in Visma?
The Group Controller's main responsibility will be ensuring a smooth monthly reporting:
- develop and maintain reporting infrastructure in Google Sheets, connected to a central BigQuery based data warehouse
- control activities to ensure reported numbers are correct
- support for wider finance team on the reporting infrastructure
- various ad-hoc analyses, among others related to forecasts and budget, including
- analysis on performance for group, regions, segments and daughter companies
- get familiar with IFRS consolidation in OneStream
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who wants to work in the finance domain, but with a clear focus on using technology to automate recurring workstreams. You may have experience from audit and / or accounting, but with a proven interest in using technology (AI and basic programming) to automate routine tasks. Or you may be a data analyst who has proven interest in the finance domain.
- around 2 years of experience with audit, business control or data analytics
- should enjoy working with spreadsheets (either Google or Excel)
- comfortable with basic programming (if-statements, loops, basic SQL / querying, basic VBA, Python or Javascript/Appscript)
- interest in the Software Industry
- "can-do" attitude
- analytical mindset
